PISTA FALOODA








Refreshing, Cooling,Tempting, what more should I say on this green cooler, love the flavour of pista's

INGREDIENTS:


  • 1 ltr milk
  • 3 tsp cornflour
  • ½ cup cooked Rice noodles/ vermicelli
  • ½ cup sabja seeds / tukmeri
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp pista flavour essence
  • Drops of green pista colour
  • Scoops of vanilla / pista ice cream
  • 1 tbsp Crushed pistachios
  • Ice made out of water and sugar pwd mixed.

METHOD:
  1. Soak the sabja seeds in I cup water.
  2. Crush some ice add to cooked vermicelli and keep in freezer.
  3. In a bowl mix cornflour to 2 tbsps milk and keep aside.
  4. In a pan boil rest of milk with sugar and bring to boil.
  5. Add the diluted cornflour mix and cook till slightly creamy.
  6. Remove from flame and add the pista essence to it.
  7. Mix the pista colour with 1 tsp water and mix into the milk.
  8. Chill the milk custard.
  9. Add the soaked sabja to the milk keeping some for garnish and chill again.
PRESENTATION:
  1. In a long glass, put 1 spoon vermicelli with the crushed ice.
  2. Spoon in some soaked sabja seeds.
  3. Pour the milk custard till ¾ of the glass.
  4. Scoop on top some ice cream.
  5. Top it with some pista / kiwi crush syrup.
Serve it chilled and immediately with a straw and a long spoon.
