TRIFLE PUDDING



Layers of pleasure as every layer unfolds the truth of what is hidden beneath
INGREDIENTS:
  • Sponge cake( I used a readymade one to ease the job)
  • canned fruits - chop them finely,
  •  fresh cream beaten with half cup milkmaid
  •  custard powder - 3 tbsp
  • milk - 1/2 ltr, 
  • milkmaid - 1/2 tin, 
  • marie gold biscuits- 20 biscuits( crushed coarsely)
  • tutti fruity - 3 tbsps
  •  honey- 2tbsps 
  •  some sprinklers(opt).


METHOD:
1) keep aside 1 cup milk from the 1/2 ltr, to which add in the custard powder.
2) Boil the rest of milk with 1/2 tin milkmaid .
3) Sim down the flame and add to it the custard mixed milk, stirring continuously that no lumps are formed .Increase the flame to medium and keep stirring till it becomes slightly thick and creamy.keep aside
4)Add honey to the tutti frutti and keep it soaked.


LAYERING AND PRESENTATION:

1)In a glass bowl, first place thin slices of sponge cake.
2)Top it with 3 tbsps of canned chopped fruits along with its syrup( syrup should be less)
3)Pour in half the custard. Top it with another layer of sliced sponge cake
4)Top it with canned fruits.spread the rest of custard on top.sprinkle the crushed biscuits.
5)Top it with the whipped cream.Sprinkle the tutti frutti and sprinklers on top for that extra colour. and serve it chilled.
